MANNIN is proud to source our unique gold from a respected American refinery, which has been an innovator in reclaimed metal since the 1970s. They produce 100% recycled gold from various sources such as manufacturing and processing scrap, unwanted jewelry, and dental scrap. The company champions their own version of the Miller Process (the refining industry standard), which cuts the amount of acids used by 75% and therefore the amount of waste disposed of by the same percentage. By using chlorine gas exhausted through a two-stage scrubber system, all contamination is eliminated before discharging clean air into the atmosphere. The refinery is also a zero discharge water facility, meaning that all water is treated and evaporated without any toxicity into the storm or sewer systems. The process is environmentally sound and produces 100% clean recycled precious metals, including MANNIN’s 18 carat custom gold colors.
